Business Growth Advisor and Coach, Sandra Baptist, Represents Antigua/Barbuda at World-Bank project for Women Entrepreneurs of the Caribbean

St. John’s, Antigua (April 30, 2015) – Sandra Baptist, a #1 International Best-Selling Author and Founder of the Caribbean Business Academy, was one of the 15 participants in the first Facilitators Training for Growth-Oriented (GO) Caribbean Women Entrepreneurs.

The workshop held in Trinidad from April 20-24 2015, was organized by the Women’s Innovative Network of the Caribbean (WINC), which is a World Bank/InfoDev project funded by the Government of Canada and designed to promote, increase and encourage entrepreneurship in the Caribbean.

Baptist, and the other 14 participants, representing 12 countries, were competitively-selected from a field of 164 women across the Caribbean.

“Women in Entrepreneurship in the Caribbean is alive and well,” states Sandra Baptist, who is also a Business and Financial Strategist. “I have never been in a group of only women entrepreneurs, whose sole purpose was to learn, connect, share and grow. All of us felt really supported during the entire week. The connections we made in Trinidad will last a lifetime. It was a wonderful experience.”

“The course gave us new techniques to facilitate, support and empower our clients to make more focused decisions on how they can grow their business. It covered the practical as well as the internal challenges we must all overcome when we make the decision to start and then push to grow that business,” the certified accountant and business coach explained.

“I am looking forward to using the training with my Business Growth coaching clients in order to further encourage, empower and support both men and women entrepreneurs in Antigua & Barbuda to start, manage and grow their businesses. As entrepreneurship grows within my country, families, communities and the government benefit from the increase in small businesses and the creativity of entrepreneurship in many ways,” Baptist added.
